Finance Calculators

Free finance calculators for loans, mortgages, compound interest, VAT, percentages and tips. Plan payments, compare interest and budget across currencies — built for expats and anyone managing money across borders.

Managing money across borders is part of everyday life for expats, remote workers and frequent travellers. The Finance Calculators hub brings together the small financial sums you reach for most often — loan and mortgage payments, the long-term growth of a savings plan, the tax hidden inside a price, a quick percentage, or a fair tip to split at the table. Every tool here runs entirely in your browser: nothing is sent to a server and nothing is stored, so you can run private numbers on any device without signing up.

Each calculator has its own page with a clear explanation of the formula, sensible default values, and answers to common questions. Pick a currency to match the figures you are working with, enter your values, and read the breakdown. The results are estimates intended for planning — actual loan terms, tax rules and investment returns vary by country, provider and product, so confirm the numbers with your bank, tax authority or adviser before making decisions.

How these calculators work

Loan & mortgage payments

The monthly payment uses the standard amortisation formula M = P·r(1+r)ⁿ / ((1+r)ⁿ−1) where P is the principal, r the monthly interest rate and n the number of monthly payments. When the rate is zero, it falls back to a simple division of the principal across the term.

Compound vs simple interest

The compound calculator compounds monthly and adds a regular contribution at the end of each month, reflecting how most savings accounts and retirement plans grow. The simple interest calculator applies a flat P × r × t calculation, suited to short-term deposits and basic estimates.

VAT & sales tax

Choose Add tax to net to apply a rate to a pre-tax amount, or Remove tax from gross to extract the tax already included in a shelf price. The same tool works for VAT, GST and local sales taxes — just enter the rate that applies where you are.

Percentages, ROI & more

The percentage tool answers three questions at once; the ROI calculator reports total and annualised return; and the affordability, debt-to-income and net-worth tools give quick snapshots of your financial position. All run instantly in your browser.

These tools provide general estimates only and do not constitute financial advice. Exchange rates, tax rules and product terms differ by country and change over time. Always verify with a qualified professional before acting on any calculation.
