Dividir una cuenta viajando significa repartir un total en moneda extranjera y convertir la parte de cada persona a un dinero que entiende. Esta calculadora añade una propina, divide el total entre tu grupo y convierte la parte de cada persona a tu moneda local con un tipo que tú indicas.

Cómo se calcula esto

The total with tip is the bill amount multiplied by (1 plus the tip percentage). The per-person share in the local currency is that total divided by the number of people. The per-person share in the home currency is the local share multiplied by the exchange rate you enter, which should be the rate your card or provider will actually use, not the mid-market rate.

The conversion is optional: leave the exchange rate at 1 and the home-currency share matches the local share, so the tool works as a plain bill splitter too. The split is equal across all people; for uneven orders where individuals ordered very different amounts, calculate each person’s share separately rather than using an even split.

The exchange rate you enter determines the home-currency accuracy. Use a realistic rate including any provider markup — adding 2–3% to the mid-market rate is a conservative estimate if you are unsure. The currency selector sets the display symbol for the local-currency figures; enter the bill in the currency you were charged.

A €120 bill in Spain, 10% tip, 4 people, exchange rate 1.08 to home currency.

¿Qué tipo de cambio debo usar?
El que tu tarjeta o proveedor de efectivo aplicará realmente, incluyendo cualquier margen. El tipo medio subestima lo que pagarás. Si dudas, añade un 2–3 % al tipo medio como estimación conservadora.
¿Cómo se calcula la parte de cada persona?
El total (cuenta más propina) se divide a partes iguales entre el número de personas, y cada parte se convierte a tu moneda con el tipo. Para pedidos desiguales, calcula por persona por separado.
¿Puedo dividir solo en moneda local?
Sí: deja el tipo en 1 y la parte en tu moneda coincidirá con la local. La conversión es opcional; solo ayuda a entender lo que cada uno paga en dinero familiar.
What exchange rate should I use?
The rate your card or provider will actually apply, including any markup — not the mid-market rate, which understates what you will really pay. If unsure, add 2–3% to the mid-market rate as a conservative estimate.
Can I split uneven orders?
Not with this tool, which splits equally. For uneven orders, calculate each person’s share separately based on what they ordered, then add a proportional share of the tip and any shared items.
